Light and medium rains hit Alexandria and several regions of Egypt's northwestern coasts Saturday morning, while maritime activity proceeded normally in the Alexandria and Dekheila straits.
Alexandria is currently witnessing seasonal storms which are usually accompanied by rains and eastern winds for approximately six days.
In the News Valley, sandstorms impacted motorists' vision on all motorways in the province. Governor Mahmoud Ashmawy said a taskforce was formed to receive notices on any consequences the inclement weather condition may have in the area.
