Al-Azhar has decided Thursday to create an e-center to monitor and confront the Islamic State activity on the Internet, beside the Islamic Research Academy, using the same language through which the terrorist organization broadcast its messages.
Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayyeb Al-Azhar has approved establishing the center and given instructions that the center starts its activities as soon as possible to protect young people from falling into the trap of terrorist groups.
The Muslim Sunni leading institution has repeatedly denounced the IS in former statements and warned Muslim youth against joining it.
