President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a decree to regulate the cotton trade in order to prevent its deterioration and maintain its international status.
The decree says that only the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation may trade in cotton, and that the Minister of Agriculture is to identify the conditions and procedures for its trade every year.
