Japan’s government has stated that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo on Friday.
The two leaders are scheduled to hold a bilateral summit also to be attended by Egypt’s premier Ibrahim Mehleb. They are scheduled to discuss economic, political, cultural and scientific cooperation.
Mehleb and Abe are also scheduled to meet with potential Japanese investors for major Egyptian projects.
Sisi and Abe met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session last September.
