Al-Azhar denounced Boko Haram's terrorist attack on a city in northwestern Nigeria where they burned a whole village, killing many people.
In a statement on Wednesday, Al-Azhar underlined its categorical rejection of all criminal acts and called for standing firmly against them.
The statement said that those crimes were a flagrant violation of Islam.
