The Egyptian stock exchange closed Sunday in the green for the forth consecutive session with a turnover of LE976 million.
The market's main index EGX30 rose 0.46 percent to 9,577.93 points, EGX data showed.
"The EGX 30 continued the rally as most of the stocks continued climbing pushing the index to close within the mentioned resistance zone, trading volume decreased suggesting that buyers are not strong enough to clear the resistance," Blom Egypt Securities said.
Foreign institutions buying appetite that amounted to LE72.43 million helped the market to end today’s session on a positive note, said Sigma Securities Brokerage.
Local institutions were net buyers recording a net flow of LE 7.63 million while Arab institutions closed as net sellers recording a net flow of LE15.01 million.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian retail investors were net sellers recording a net flow of LE70.56 million.
EGX market capital gained LE1.9 billion to hit LE526 billion compared to LE524.1 billion on Sunday.
