The Egyptian stock exchange closed in the red in Wednesday’s session on a total turnover of LE712.6 million.
The benchmark index EGX30 declined by 1.55 percent, recording 9345.53 points.
Meanwhile, the broader EGX70 index was down by 1.29 percent, settling at 623.15 points. The EGX100 Index also declined 1.12 percent to 1125.63 points.
Local and Arab institutions finished the session as net sellers with LE14 million and LE22.7 million respectively.
Meanwhile, foreign institutions were net buyers with a net flow of LE36.7 million.
The market capitalization gained LE1.9 billion (US$263 million) to close at LE534.3 billion compared to LE532.4 billion on Monday.
