President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Saturday commenting on the Friday attacks against military in Sinai, “It’s important to know the goal behind the operation. There is foreign support behind it. It was offered to carry out the operation against Egypt’s army in the way we saw it.”
Sisi explained that the reason behind the terrorist operations is to break Egypt and Egyptians’ will as well as the will of military, which is Egypt’s backbone. “Are you Egyptians going to succeed or rebuild the country again? Are you moving in all directions? No, it’s not required that Egypt succeed,” he said on behalf of terrorists.
“Watch out what is being planned for us. All of this was known and we warned against since before 3 July,” Sisi said referring to date of the ouster of former Islamist President Mohamed Morsy.
