An Air Force helicopter crashed during training in the vicinity of the Com Oshim Security Camp in Fayoum.
Military spokesperson Mohamed Samir said on Facebook on Sunday that six people died and another was injured in the crash that was a result of technical failure.
Central Security and Civil Defense forces rushed to the scene and found that the plane exploded upon crashing.
Defense minister Sidqi Subhi formed a committee to find out the exact cause of the accident.
