Two people were killed and nine others were injured on Saturday after a truck loaded with bricks overturned on the Ring road in the Zahraa Masr al-Qadima area.
Eyewitness said the truck driver likely lost control, which made him collide with a microbus and a car before overturning.
At least 13,000 victims are killed annually in road accidents, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb said on Saturday during his visit to the Road Safety Training Center (RSTC).
"Around 70 percent of road accidents are blamed on human error and lack of maintenance," Mehleb added. "Losses could reach LE17 billion as a result of accidents."
