Egyptian maritime sources at Cairo airport said, on Thursday, that authorities suspended flights between Cairo and Libya's regional airports because of the security situation.
The sources added that Egyptian authorities received a tip from the Libyan air surveillance
pilots saying that Libyan airspace has been closed, which lead to the cancellation of flight from Cairo to Maetiqa airport near Tripoli.
According to the same source, dozens of passengers whose flights were cancelled were stranded inside the airport.
