Ezzat al-Rashq, member of Hamas politburo and the Palestinian delegation over truce talks, said proposals by Egypt to reach permanent truce with Israel are rejected by Palestine.
In remarks to the Palestinian news agency Safa, Rashq said, “What was proposed on the Palestinian delegation until the last moment before leaving is and will not be accepted.”
“The Palestinian delegation confirmed rejection to any formula that would not meet demands of Palestinian people. What’s proposed by Egypt includes many unaccepted issues for the delegation,” he added.
Rashq, who is based in Qatar, said that the talks are taking place between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and delegation from Palestinian Liberation organization over the final stance toward negotiations in Cairo.
