Unknown people threw Molotov cocktails on Saturday at a security checkpoint at Cairo University in front of its main gate. No casualties were reported.
Investigations showed that the criminals threw the Molotovs targeting the checkpoint early on Saturday. After they fled the scene, a fire started in a tree before the checkpoint.
Fire engines arrived at the site of the incident. Security efforts have intensified to arrest the perpetrators. Preliminary interrogations point to an affiliation to the Muslim Brotherhood.
