An Egyptian airline pilot was forced to return to Cairo Airport on Wednesday due to a technical malfunction in the doors of the plane, which threatens the safety of the trip. He was heading for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Sources said the control tower received a signal from the pilot of EgyptAir flight 667 requesting to return with his Airbus 330.
After landing, the 260 passengers were taken to the transit hall, while a team of technicians started repairing the doors.
