Hundreds of supporters of presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi staged a demonstration outside the al-Qaed Ibrahim mosque in Alexandria after the Friday prayers and marched to the Corniche.
They raised banners that read: “We Choose You” and handed out leaflets with his picture.
Others handed out leaflets with the picture of late President Nasser in an epitomization of Sisi.
The march was joined by a number of political forces, including members of the World Federation of Sufi orders that carried flags and banners with Sisi’s picture.
