An officer was killed in an armed attack on his car on Assiut street in the city Arish, north Sinai.
Security sources said gunmen in a car shot the retired officer Reda Ramzy, 55, who was driving in al-Zohour area. The gun shots injured his neck and lead to his death.
The body was transferred to a military hospital. Security services continued combing the area to search for the criminals.
