
The first General Assembly of the Egyptian Company for Highway Investments has endorsed the modus operandi for running freeways in Egypt.
Transport Minister Ibrahim al-Demery said the company was formed with a capital of LE500 million to manage and maintain the freeways and achieve urban development. “It will also work in freight and passenger transport,” he said.
“We aim to build a network of freeways with international standards so as to to reduce road accidents,” he said, adding that the company would cooperate with all other companies in this field.
