Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Badr Abdel Aaty said on Saturday that the ministry is in communication with Libyan authorities in question over detention of 55 Egyptian drivers by gunmen in city of Ajdabiya, east of Libya.
The task force formed by the ministry to follow on situations of Egyptians in Libya is in communicaion with Egyptian and Libyan authorities in question to follow on developments and get the detainees released, he told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
Libyan Foreign Ministry had earlier said on Saturday that more than 50 Egyptians and their trucks loaded with construction materials were detained on road between Ajdabiya and Tubruk.
