Cairo Criminal Court adjourned on Saturday trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy, 14 others over charges of killing protesters before presidential palace in December 2012 until Sunday to hear testimonies of presidential guard chief and officers, who were in charge of securing Morsy during the incidents.
Before the trial began, court officials said they made sure sound can be heard from the class cages, where Morsy and other suspects are being held, so as to guarantee the suspects can hear the proceedings of the court, as they had complained earlier. The court asked defense of the suspects to enter the cages to test if they could hear their voice. Another member of the court panel also entered the cage to check the voice could be heard.
The court resorted to the glass cage in December, as the court ruled the suspects were being unruly inside the cage.
