Number of victims of the terrorist attack on Saturday against military police checkpoint in Shubra al-Kheima, reached six soldiers, said Health Ministry Deputy in Qalyoubia Zakareyya abd Rabbu.
Ambulances transferred bodies of the victims to the armed forces hospital in Cairo, he added.
Unknown gunmen attacked the military police checkpoint in Tere’t al-Ismailia area in Musturud, which left two soldiers killed. Several ambulances arrived at the accident spot to transfer them.
In related news, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb offered condolences over the deaths.
A statement by cabinet said that “the country will make all required efforts to arrest the criminals swiftly and bring them to justice.” It added that it’s determined to eradicate terrorism.
