The Montazah, al-Raml, and Sidi Gaber misdemeanor courts in Alexandria sentenced on Tuesday 220 Muslim Brotherhood members for periods ranging between three and seven years in prison over charges of rioting, assembling, thuggery and possessing weapons during protests in the Alexandria governorate.
The al-Raml misdemeanor court sentenced 41 defendants to seven years in prison, and the Sidi Gaber court sentenced 134 defendants to three years in prison and a fine of LE50,000 each. The Montazah court sentenced 45 defendants to three years and a fine of LE50,000 each.
