Qalyoubia security services, in collaboration with explosives experts, said they thwarted an attempt to blast seven bombs at a Banha public microbus stop next to a camp of security troops and Banha prosecution.
The bombs were found inside a black plastic bag in a microbus waiting for commuters at a stop. An unidentified person left the bag and fled.
The person had said he was going to buy cigarettes. The commuters were suspicious of the bag, especially when the person was late.
A security cordon was imposed around the area where the microbus was parked until the bombs were defused.
Prosecution was notified to conduct investigations. Efforts are being made to arrest the suspect
