Tanta Court of Appeal has set the date 1 February 1 for the trial of Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, leading figure Mohamed al-Beltagy and 46 other group members, including Safwat Hegazy, Osama Yassin, Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, Bassem Ouda, Abdel Rahman al-Barr, Abdallah Barakat and Mohsen Rady.
They are all accused of blocking the Cairo-Alexandria Delta Road and inciting violence that left two people dead and 30 others injured when group supporters resisted police forces and fired towards passersby.
A judicial source said investigations were completed and prosecutors received reports from the Forensics Department and the National Security Agency about the incident.
They are also accused of joining a terrorist group calling for violence against state institutions, disrupting traffic, damaging public and private property, possessing firearms and ammunition and terrorizing innocent people.
