The Ministries of Tourism and Aviation have agreed to renew direct flights between Paris and Luxor after a hiatus of three years
In a press release, Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou said on Tuesday that a high-level French delegation is visiting Luxor.
“We value the French market very much," Zaazou said. "It had been affected greatly after the revolution."
Meanwhile, Zaazou said that the ministry is signing a memorandum of understanding with Indian travel agents.
“Our target is one million Indian tourists before September 2017,” he said. "There are 14 Indian travel agents operating in Luxor. We will have more direct flights from New Delhi and Mumbai.”
Egypt's tourism market has plummeted in recent months as security conditions are not as stable as they once were. Many tourists have cancelled or postponed travel plans to a number of Egyptian destinations due to political turmoil.
