Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Chief Gamal Allam said the Egyptian national team coach succeeding Bob Bradley will be surprise for everyone.
Allam added that the issue of the team coach has been postponed by the EFA board and that the successor will be a foreigner so as to be able to raise a new generation [of soccer players].
Allam referred to pressure on him to appoint specific people to the post, but he said he will not designate a coach lacking experience.
Allam also said that he is aware of all the problems that led to the team’s current level but said that he could not do anything in the meantime.
The Egyptian and Ghananian national teams played last week in the first leg of the World Cup play off. The match ended with a 6-1 victory for Ghana.
Allam refused to declare reasons mentioned by Bradley in a report on Tuesday, saying it will be discussed during the next board meeting.
