Egyptian authorities have decided to reopen the Rafah border crossing linking Egypt and Gaza for five days starting Tuesday until Sunday for students and exceptional cases, the Palestinian embassy in Cairo announced. The crossing will not be open on Friday, however.
In his statement, Palestinian ambassador to Cairo Barakat al-Farra expressed appreciation to Egypt for "the continuous efforts to ease the suffering of people in Gaza."
