Two protesters were killed and 32 others were injured during Friday protests in Tanta, Gharbiya Governorate. Clashes reportedly occurred between local residents and the police on one hand and protesters on the other. Three cases suffered bird shot injuries and were hospitalized.
Head of Gharbiya Security Directorate Hatem Othman said calm prevailed in Saeed, Moheb, and al-Nahas streets following the incident after the police controlled the situation.
