"Tut Ankh Amon: The Musical," which features a musical depiction of the life of Egypt's youngest–and most famous–pharaoh, is scheduled to stage eight performances in Cairo and Alexandria next week.
The show is being organized under the auspices of the Austrian embassy and the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority.
According to Egyptian Opera Director Abdel Moneim Kamel, the show involves 160 artists working in conjunction with the Cairo Opera Orchestra and the Cairo Opera Ballet.
The musical is produced by Ernest Neuspiel, head of the largest summer music festival in the south of Austria.
