“We Will Find Them,” a loosely-organized group of activists, called for a protest Saturday outside the presidential palace to denounce the disregard of protesters missing since the revolution.
"A number of missing protesters' families will participate at 4 pm outside the presidential palace in Heliopolis, coming within the context of efforts to reach the missing protesters of the revolution and to denounce the disregard of this issue. We call on authorities to take serious measures in order to disclose the fate of the missing," the organization said in a statement.
"The aim of the protest is to send a message to the president and the Egyptian people saying that there are families who will pass Eid al-Fitr without seeing their sons, [from] whom they have heard nothing about for a year and a half," said group member Menna Essam.
“We Will Find Them” was launched to demand finding protesters who have been missing since the early days of the revolution beside activists who were kidnapped or disappeared after the revolution.
