77 MB supporters sentenced to 3 years in prison for Ramses violence

Abdeen Misdemeanor Court, held at the low-ranking police officers' institute, sentenced on Tuesday 77 Muslim Brotherhood supporters to three years in prison over charges of rioting, blocking roads and committing violence on 17 August 2013 while protesting the dispersal of the Rabaa and al-Nahda sit-ins.
 
Clashes occurred on 17 August between security forces and Muslim Brotherhood supporters. The defendants were arrested in Abdeen while heading to Ramses Square where the clashes occurred.
