The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on the occasion of the anniversary of the 6 October war that “it opened the doors of peace with the greatest Arab country”, while the Israeli prime minister called for preparing for any external threat.

He pointed out that on this day in 1973, the Yom Kippur War started, on the holiest day of Israel.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister, Yair Lapid said, at Mount Herzl, the cemetery of Israeli soldiers who fell on the 6 October War, in Jerusalem, “We must be prepared for any external threat, and we must prepare together. If we allow ourselves to be divided in times of relative calm, we will not know how to stand together in times of war.”
He continued, “Our enemies must know that Israeli society is stronger than any disagreement, that the strength of Israel is the strength of unity, and that in life or in death, no one will succeed in dividing us.”
