6 April Movement members sentenced to two-year imprisonment for unlicensed demos

Kasr Al-Nil Misdemeanor Court has sentenced nine members of the April 6 Youth Movement to two years in prison for organizing a demonstration without permission on Talaat Harb street to demand the release of movement's founder Ahmed Maher.

A security cordon was imposed around the court in anticipation of riots by the supporters of the defendants.
