North Minya prosecution referred 48 suspects affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood to criminal court.
The suspects are accused of breaking into and robbing al-Adwa police station in the aftermath of dispersing the Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda sit-ins in August.
Meanwhile, Adwa prosecution decided to remand a Brotherhood member into custody over the same trial.
Police had arrested a Brotherhood member for allegedly breaking into Abu Qerqas police station.
In total, 683 defendants, including the MB's most senior figure Mohamed Badie, were referred late April to the Grand Mufti for approval of their death sentence over the same incident, igniting domestic and international controversy over the fairness of legal procedures taken in the trial.
Another 37 defendants were sentenced to death over violence and the murder of a police officer at the Matay police station.
