48 MB members sentenced to 10 years in prison

Suez Criminal Court sentenced 48 alleged members of the Muslim Brotherhood to 10 years in prison over violence, blocking roads and rioting charges. 
 
In the first case, the court sentenced 38 members, including 14 present defendants, to three years in prison, and sentenced 24 in absentia to 10 years in prison and fined each of LE500 over charges of rioting, assaulting security forces, burning facilities, protesting without a license and distributing leaflets inciting violence.
 
In the second case, the court sentenced 10 other people belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood to one year in prison on charges of inciting violence and destroying public and private facilities. 
 
In Minya, the criminal court acquitted seven alled Brotherhood members of charges of assaulting police forces in Abu Qarqas following the dispersal of Rabaa sit-in.
