A forum of Egyptian expats – who came to spend their new year and Christmas vacations in Egypt – was opened Saturday, the Egyptian immigration minister said.
About 300 Egyptian youths who came to their homeland from France, the UK, Germany, Australia, Finnland, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will visit during the week-long forum key tourist sites in Cairo, Luxor and South Sinai, Nabila Makram said.
The forum will also include visiting hospitals and poor villages.
Within this context, Makram said she will organize a conference on Sunday with the participation of the ministers of youth, culture and tourism alongside the Egyptian expats.
The forum is meant to activate tourism in Egypt and send a message that Egypt is safe.
