Thirty persons were injured and suffering asphyxia due to the explosion of a lorry’s chlorine tank in the Sidi Bishr area of East Alexandria, Alexandria Security Directorate said on Wednesday.
Ambulances treated 15 injured persons at the location of incident and transferred another 15 to Sharq al-Madina Hospital.
Police filed a report on the incident and sent it to public prosecution for the completion of investigations.
No official statement on the number of causalities was released by the Ministry of Health.
