Three Central Security personnel were kidnapped on Sunday south of the Egyptian town of Rafah, said a security source. They were patrolling the border with Israel.
The source said there was no information yet concerning the security personnel or the identity of the kidnappers, but said police were combing the area in an attempt to find them.
In related news, a tribesman was killed and another injured three days ago, having been shot by border police.
