Three bombs exploded outside the Kentucky Fried Chicken fast-food restaurant in the southern Cairo suburb of Helwan on Sunday.
Civil protection forces hurried to the blast site. According to a security source, one of the explosions was a sound bomb and no casualties were reported.
A few days earlier, 18-year-old KFC employee Pola Mansour Fawzy was killed when another KFC in Monufiya was attacked. Assailants on a motorcycle shot at the restaurant and threw flammable materials at the franchise resulting in a fire that killed Fawzy.
