The Ministry of Electricity announced that it has generated for the first time in its history 26,800 megawatts, thanks to a sufficient supply of fuel and the opening of new power plants.
Ministry spokesperson Mohamed al-Yamany said new capacities would be added by the end of this month with the start of the urgent plan’s special plants.
He called on citizens to rationalize consumption so as to meet the demand during the high temperatures of summer.
