Giza prosecutors sent 24 Muslim Brotherhood supporters to 15 days in jail pending investigations on charges of allegedly financing and inciting riots in the areas of 6th of October, Haram, Warraq and Agouza.
They are also charged with allegedly assaulting security forces and burning police cars. The suspects also face charges of joining a terrorist group, preventing state institutions from doing their job, blocking roads, disrupting traffic and resisting authorities.
Investigators also claimed that the defendants incited the burning of three police cars during a demonstration in Hosary Square in 6th of October City.
