The "Veterinarians without Borders" movement lashed out at the Agriculture Ministry for neglecting its demand to improve the financial conditions of veterinarian doctors. The movement further criticized the ministry for not having appointed any new graduates of veterinarian medicine since 1994.
Movement members decried a recent resolution by the agriculture minister to disburse annual bonuses for vets without specifying the exact value of said bonuses. They requested bonuses equivalent to 60 percent of their basic salaries.
