200 members of Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis referred to court over terrorism

Supreme State Security Prosecution decided on Saturday to refer 200 suspects affiliated to Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis to State Security Prosecution over carrying out terrorist operations in Egypt.
 
Judicial sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the suspects are involved in the assassination attempt of Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim and senior security official Mohamed Mabrouk.
 
The 102 suspects, who have been detained, are also accused of other terrorist operations, while the rest are runaways or were killed in confrontations with security.
 
Authorities accused the suspects premeditated murder, terrorism, resisting authorities, joining terrorist group and possessing explosives.
