20 Egyptian sailors released from Libyan prisons

The Egyptian consulate in Benghazi has been able to obtain the release of 20 sailors from Libyan prisons, said Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Hakam, assistant foreign minister for consular affairs, immigration, Egyptian expatriates and refugees.

The Egyptian consul in Benghazi met with the released sailors and made travel arrangements so that they will return to Egypt soon. 

The sailors, who hail From Borg Megheizal village in Qafr al-Sheikh governorate, were arrested on 12 May when sailing in Libyan waters near the Libyan city of Misrata.
