A cleaning worker found two dead infants on Thursday, after an unidentified person threw their corpses into a bin in Nasr City.
Chief of the General Directorate of Cairo investigations Ashraf al-Gendi supervised the Police’s investigative team, to check the case’s circumstances.
Police moved to the location of the decaying bodies.
The police referred the case to public prosecution to complete investigations.
The bodies were delivered to a forensic team, who took samples from their bodies in order to match them with samples of newborns in local hospitals, in an attempt to discover their identities.
