Fourteen airline companies canceled flights on Tuesday, while Egypt Airlines has decreased the number of flights from Egypt due to the low number of passengers.
“Airports are still empty of passengers, especially foreigners," said sources at the airport.
“Fourteen international and regional airline companies canceled flights, including those of Italian, German, American, Greek, Israeli, Saudi and Emirati airlines. EgyptAir decreased its flight operations to 30 international flights and 11 local ones.”
The sources added that no private planes landed or took off from Cairo International Airport.
Meanwhile employee protests at the airport are still being staged, despite officials promising to fulfill workers' demands.
