One person was killed and five others were wounded when two IEDs went off outside a mega mall in eastern Alexandria.
The two bombs were planted next to a sidewalk outside the Carrefour hypermarket and exploded when a microbus was passing by, killing one and wounding five others.
Egypt has been struggling against a series of bombings across the country since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsy. The government has mostly blamed Morsy’s Muslim Brotherhood for setting the explosions.
