The permanent delegates of the African countries in the United Nations said they fully support Egypt’s candidacy for a seat in the Security Council for 2016 and 2017, given Egypt's regional and international status and its historical support of African countries.
They told Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in New York on Friday that they are confident of Egypt's diplomatic ability to defend African affairs within the organization.
