Two police officers detained on charges of embezzlement and possession of unlicensed weapons

Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat ordered on Sunday the detention of the chief detective of East Qantara in Ismailia and his deputy for 15 days, pending investigations into charges of embezzlement and possession of unlicensed weapons. Both officers are also charged with possessing unlicensed cars. 
 
The weapons that were seized include three automatic rifles, a 9mm submachine gun, a shotgun, 41 bullets and five pistol magazines. Five unlicensed cars have also been seized.
