The Supply and Internal Trade Ministry has decided to allocate five new plots of land for investment in Upper Egypt, the Delta and the cities of the Suez Canal in August, said Vice President of Internal Trade Development Authority Yasser Abbas.
Local, Arab and international investors will be elligible to invest.
The planned projects include the establishment of logistical zones of grains, vegetables and fruits, he added.
The inauguration of the New Suez Canal will increase the price of land in the Suez Canal cities, according to Abbas.
The five areas include 96 acres in Beheira, 25 acres in Assiut, 46 acres in Daqahlia, with the remaining acres spread throughout Assiut, Giza and the Suez Canal cities, said Abbas.
The size of investment in the five areas is LE1 billion pounds. The projects are expected to be concluded in a year, he mentioned.
