Stock market earns LE3 bn Monday

Stock indices shrugged off investors’ fears of Brotherhood violence on the second anniversary of the Mohamed Mahmoud Street events and climbed up, supported by purchases of Arab and Egyptian investors.
 
The main EGX30 index rose by 1.05 percent to close at 6341.28 points, the small and medium stocks EGX70 index rose by 0.63 percent to end at 537.33 points, and the broader EGX100 index rose by 0.64 percent to close at 892.9 points.
 
Total trading hit LE537.8 million and market capital earned LE3 billion pounds to end Monday’s session at LE412 billion.
 
Traders said the market was confident that the police and the army would thwart any violence by Morsy supporters.
